Do you love acting, or do you just think of it as work?
I am passionately committed to acting. Of course, sometimes it feels like a job, when it turns into a routine. Still, it has many sides for me to explore.
When was the last time you cried?
Most recently as Mahidevran, I cried in the episode before the season finale of `Muhtesem Yuzyil`. I think I will continue to cry constantly during the next season.
Do you get angry easily?
I get angry easily and believe me; you would not want to see me get angry! However, I have learned to keep myself under control.
Unforgivable mistake
What is an unforgivable mistake for you?
It depends, but I cannot stomach lies; I cannot stand them.
Is there a moment that you would consider `the turning point` of your life?
My turning point was the moment I met my ex-husband Murat, because he was the one who got me into acting, which I had always dreamed of.
I know you want to keep your private life to yourself, but somehow it`s not possible. How do you feel when you read the newspaper in the morning and see false or distorted news about yourself?
When I see such news, what can I say? I can`t believe it. I know myself, people around me know me too and they are aware of my boundaries. But there are so many people who don`t know me; who are ready to execute without trial. I have been thrown in their midst on purpose before, and it got on my nerves. But I didn`t let any of them hurt me; I didn`t lose it and act inappropriately; I kept my calm.
It`s not an obsession. I don`t do anything special. On the contrary, I try to stay natural. I want to die as pure and clean as I was born, both physically and mentally.
Genes? My dear mother and other family elders were slim and graceful in their youth, but I do not suppose it`s in the genes formed. The real secret is in my hormones. My thyroid gland works very fast, so the hormones it secretes are high in my blood. So I can eat whatever I want to eat and it won`t affect me.
Are you doing anything in particular to try to prevent things like this?
No. Since I usually prefer to stay silent, I also take the risk of being misunderstood.

Social media is the ailment of our age. Twitter, unlike Facebook, gives you the opportunity to see what the world is talking about and is even used as a news source.
